"What is your favourite anime that you have watched so far?"
I'm not good with favourites, dammit!!! (I can't even settle on a favourite food...I can only settle on a favourite food from each catergory...eg, cherries are my favourite fruit, etc.)
My first thought was 'Vision of Escaflowne', so I'm going with that. (...but what about Gurren Lagann? Oh, hell...stop thinking. Stop thinking of more right now.)
Obviously, there are many series that I love, but Escaflowne has always held a special place in my heart. It's the reason I started attending anime club, and now that I think about it, it's indirectly responsible for me marrying my husband...(if I hadn't gone to anime club, I probably wouldn't have met him.)
Essentially, I love this series because of the atmosphere it projects. The music and animation just sing together, and create a whole new world. The ending makes my cry buckets, but in a good way, and my only complaint is that Van never kisses Hitomi.
